Rękopiśmienny atlas z 1583 roku składający się z ośmiu ozdobnie wykonanych na pergaminie portolanów, jeden z nielicznych w polskich zbiorach tak dobrze zachowanych obiektów tego typu. Autor atlasu – Antonio Millo – był greckim kartografem działającym w Wenecji w drugiej połowie XVI wieku.
Prezentowany zabytek kartografii nie był raczej przeznaczony do użycia podczas żeglugi, a służył edukacji i planowaniu dalszych podróży. Atlas obejmuje wybrzeża Europy Zachodniej, basenu Morza Śródziemnego, Morza Czarnego, Ameryki Środkowej i Afryki. Na wszystkich mapach zwracają uwagę złocone róże wiatrów, kolorowe ilustracje, a także herby krajów i miast.
Obiekt należał do Biblioteki Ordynacji Zamojskiej, do zbiorów Biblioteki Narodowej wszedł po II wojnie światowej razem z ocalałą częścią kolekcji. Obecnie BOZ jest własnością BN.

A hand-drawn atlas from 1583, consisting of eight ornately executed portolans on parchment, one of the few objects of this type so well preserved in a Polish collection. The creator of the atlas, Antonio Millo, was a Greek cartographer active in Venice in the second half of the 16th century.
The valuable piece of cartographical history was probably not actually used for sailing, but rather for education and planning future voyages. The atlas covers the coasts of Western Europe, the Mediterranean, the Black Sea, Central America and Africa. The charts are notable for their gilded wind roses, colour illustrations, and the coats of arms of the countries and cities shown.
The object exhibited belonged to the library of the Zamoyski family fee tail. It entered the collection of the National Library of Poland after the Second World War toget- her with the surviving part of the library of the Zamoyski family fee tail’s collection
